Your life is a letter to the world. Write in strokes of vivid hue. Fill the pages of your letter, the years of your life, with lovely goodness.
BE SINCERE. A letter can only be so long; so also, your life. Write your story uniquely. Don't settle. Always strive.
BE BEAUTIFUL. Make every day an adventure as you journey "further up and further in" to the heart of Beauty. Be a pioneer. Wander. Wonder, too.
BE KIND. Make your life a love letter. Reflect the love of God. Smile. Laugh. When you stop and look around for a moment, you'll see that this is a good life. People are beautiful. Start a love affair with humanity, yes, with all its frailty and faultiness. The beauty and goodness of humanity will shine through the fog of this sinful world. Don't be afraid to LOVE. Love with all your heart.
BE BOLD. "Be not afraid." Tell the world a story that they'll remember for always. Fight the good fight. Be a champion for Our Lord. Don't be afraid to pursue beauty and truth with all of your heart.
But BE SUBTLE, too. It's a loud world. It's an age of megaphones and trumpets, self-proclaimed praise. Saint Therese said that all the flowers in the garden could not be as brave and tall as the lily. Take the everyday time to be an ordinary, humble flower in the field, and then remember, that there's no such thing as ordinary. Everything is extraordinary when sanctified by Our Lord.
